Herchenbach is your full-service provider for high-quality lightweight buildings. From the initial enquiry to after-sales, we are there to personally assist you with your construction project. In addition to commitment and responsibility, transparency in the process flow is also particularly important to us. Here we give you a look behind the scenes and show you what the timeline looks like once we receive your request.

Enquiry

You have storage requirements and have heard of our company. As a first step, you send us a non-binding project enquiry or request a callback. We will then contact you immediately and arrange a face-to-face meeting at your premises. 

On-site meeting

In an on-site, personal meeting, one of our experts will work with you to determine your individual needs and develop the perfect building solution for your application. We are also happy to hold this meeting via video or telephone call.

Offer

After the face-to-face, on-site meeting, you will receive a tailor-made offer within 24 hours. To assist with your planning, this contains a structured cost overview that makes comparisons easy.

Procekt management

Once commissioned, our project management team will take control of the process. We take care of communication with external service providers, advise you on questions of building law and construction technology and keep an eye on the timeline. Through our experience and know-how, we drive your project forward and bring it to a quick conclusion.

  • Planning permission 
     

    Safe & fast -process

    With our safe & fast process, we take care of the planning permission process for you and also offer you an installation guarantee so that you can plan with confidence. We erect your building immediately and submit the planning permission application at the same time. If planning permission is not granted, we will dismantle the building for you free of charge and you have a special right of termination.

    Normal process

    We support you in obtaining planning permission and send you the documents relevant to the planning permission (statics and drawings). It can take up to 180 days from application to the issuing of the planning permission. The duration depends on the respective building authority and the individual circumstances. If, contrary to expectations, no planning permission is granted, we will cancel your order at no cost.

  • Pre-assembly inspection (PAI)
    As part of a PAI, we check the conditions on site to ensure that there are no delays during assembly. We carry out a geometry check, tensile tests and a height survey and check whether there are any earth cables in the ground. In this way, we ensure that everything can run smoothly on the day of assembly and you can be sure that everything is carried out safely.

     

    Anchoring with ground spikes

    For anchoring with ground spikes, the surface course, base course and frost protection layer should be at least 80 cm thick when added together. This anchoring method is particularly cost-effective, as no foundation is required.

    Anchoring with heavy-duty dowels

    Anchoring with heavy-duty dowels requires a reinforced concrete slab (~20-30 cm) or a strip foundation/individual footings (frost-free and 80 cm thick). 

Assembly

Our general rule of thumb for the assembly of our lightweight buildings is 1,000 m² in five working days. As no cranes are required for assembly and this takes place almost exclusively on the ground, our optimised assembly process is cost-saving.
