At Herchenbach, everything revolves around lightweight warehouses. We offer tailor-made solutions for customers from various industries, including the automotive sector, manufacturing, construction, and logistics & transport. As a full-service provider of temporary storage solutions since 1924, we have gained extensive experience from numerous warehouse construction projects for customers across a diverse range of industries. With approximately 450–500 temporary warehouse construction projects completed each year, we always keep our customers at the center of every project. We place particular emphasis on understanding industry-specific challenges and developing customized solutions accordingly.

The number of projects completed each year demonstrates the diverse range of applications for our product, as well as the variety of our customer base. Our clients range from small and medium-sized manufacturing companies to large corporations in the automotive industry. The scale of the projects and the specific usage requirements vary by industry. Despite these differences, one common factor remains: our customers need to create new storage space quickly, flexibly, and cost-effectively—customised to their specific requirements and supported by an expert who understands their industry.

In recent years, global and economic conditions have repeatedly changed in unpredictable ways. Almost every industry has been affected in some way by the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Due to increasing uncertainty caused by unforeseeable events, many of our customers have strengthened the resilience of their supply chains and implemented various cost-reduction measures. Challenges in the automotive, construction, industrial, and logistics sectors continue to evolve. We support our customers throughout these changes by developing solutions that adapt to their specific needs.

We provide tailor-made lightweight warehouses for various industries. Our solutions are flexible, efficient, and sustainable and we continuously evolve based on changing customer needs and already anticipate the challenges of tomorrow.

Customised Lightweight Warehouses for Construction Companies

To store building materials safely and dry, for example on EU pallets, a cold storage hall (Safe+) is sufficient. The optional inner tarp helps direct any condensation water outside, ensuring that stored materials remain dry. If you need to manage temporary storage peaks, the temporary warehouse can be expanded accordingly.

A beneficial side effect: If you're considering transitioning your truck fleet to electric vehicles, equipping your hall with PV modules (Heba Energy) can be a cost-effective solution, allowing you to maximize the roof space for energy generation.

Various Applications for Manufacturing Companies

Every manufacturing company needs to store raw materials securely and efficiently. Proximity plays a crucial role in scosts and ensuring flexibility when adjusting production volumes. Depending on the requirements of the raw materials, we build lightweight warehouses for customers in the machinery and plant engineering industries, locating them close to production sites for optimal storage protection. Often, these temporary warehouses combine the storage of raw materials with finished products.

Dual Logistics During a Production Line Conversion for an International Automotive Corporation

During the conversion of production lines, we have implemented several construction projects for international automotive manufacturers to bridge the transition period with dual logistics. Thanks to our rental options, our customers also had an emergency plan in case their project’s construction phase was delayed.
