For Webasto, a customer from the automotive industry, we assembled a 300 m² warehouse in Schierling on an existing site.

Webasto is a global system partner in the OEM business and also has a product portfolio for end customers. With almost 14,000 employees, the company had a turnover of around €3.7 billion last year. Webasto has over 50 locations around the world.

The company needed storage space for a location in Schierling, Upper Palatinate. The building was to be erected next to an existing building on an asphalted parking area.

Customer requirement:

  • Assembly next to an existing building
  • Use of existing asphalted parking area
  • Fast turnaround

Our solution

In an on-site appointment, our sales representative determined the exact requirements and developed a suitable storage solution, which consisted of a 15 x 20 m lightweight building with an eaves height of 4.4 m.

  • Due to the small distance to the existing building, the legal regulations required hard roofing. Our HebaDach+ tarpaulin meets the requirements for such roofing as it is resistant to heat and flying sparks.
  • Our tensile tests, which we carried out as part of a pre-assembly inspection (PAI), showed that the existing ground was suitable for anchoring ground spikes, meaning that is was not necessary to lay a new foundation.
  • The assembly of the 15 x 20 m lightweight building took three working days, enabling the company to use the new storage space as quickly as possible.
  • A roller shutter door and two steel doors were added to the building to adapt to the company’s processes. To protect against condensation, an inner tarpaulin was inserted under the roof tarpaulin.

We take charge

As a full-service provider, we take charge of our customers’ projects. Our coordinated services enable us to make the process as quick and uncomplicated as possible for the customer. We guarantee personal support from our expert staff at every stage of the process.

We know the problems and challenges of our customers and our focus industries. Throughout our company’s 100-year history, we have succeeded in further developing our product innovations in a solution-oriented manner.

In addition to the solutions we have found for the warehouse for Webasto, we also offer other product innovations that are particularly relevant for the automotive industry.

When manoeuvring forklift trucks, small rear-end collisions can occur on the wall of the building. We use special collision protection devices to prevent the trapezoidal sheets or the ISO panels of the building walls from being damaged.

We create eave heights of up to 6.4 m. This allows our customers to store their goods at height and use the space effectively.

On request, we can install loading ramps and docks in the longitudinal and side walls of the buildings. These ensure easy, fast loading and unloading processes in the warehouse.

We can find a solution for your storage problem, too. See our website for information about our building sizes and prices. Request a callback for a personal consultation with one of our employees.
