Bij turbomachinebouwer MAN Energy Solutions ontstaan voortdurend innovaties. Oberhausen is de toonaangevende productie- en servicelocatie voor compressoren, expanders en turbines in het industriesegment van MAN ES. Dankzij een unieke engineeringaanpak worden daar nieuwe technologieën ontwikkeld zoals bijvoorbeeld energieopslagoplossingen op basis van omgevingslucht of industriële warmtepompen. In het kader van de constructie van nieuwe machinetypen ontstaan van tijd tot tijd gieterijmodellen – deze hebben niet alleen vanwege hun omvang, maar ook vanwege hun aantal een veilige opslagplaats nodig.

Al jaren werkt MAN Energy Solutions Oberhausen daarom samen met Herchenbach Industrial Buildings en maakt gebruik van de speciaal voor de B2B-sector geoptimaliseerde industrietenten als opslagruimte. Herchenbach-hallen kunnen tientallen jaren worden gebruikt: de eerste lichtbouwhallen werden nog gebouwd voor MAN Turbo AG, waaruit MAN Energy Solutions is ontstaan. Alleen in de afgelopen 5 jaar zijn er 7 nieuwe halprojecten bijgekomen op de locatie Oberhausen: 6 grote hallen (telkens 3 als tweeschepige constructie) met een totale opslagruimte van 4500 m², evenals een kleine hal.

Eisen aan de lichtbouwhallen:

Weers- en diefstalbeveiliging: De modellen van de engineeringafdeling moeten beschermd tegen regen en andere weersomstandigheden worden opgeslagen. Wandbekledingen van trapeziumplaten zijn in dit geval een robuuste en kostenefficiënte oplossing; ze worden eenvoudig in de halprofielen aangebracht.

Condensbescherming: De dakbedekking van de lichtbouwhallen bestaat uit een hoogwaardig industrie-pvc dat op verzoek wordt uitgebreid met een binnenzeil. Door het gaasweefsel kan vocht uitsluitend naar buiten diffunderen. De modellen in de hal zijn beschermd tegen condensaat.

Individualiteit uit het modulaire systeem: Industrietenten van Herchenbach worden in systeembouw gebouwd. Dat verkort plannings- en levertijden. Door verschillende modules van het modulaire systeem kunnen de hallen optimaal worden aangepast aan individuele opslagbehoeften. Terwijl MAN Energy Solutions bij eerdere hallen door de keuze van de gordingafstanden varieerde in de hallengten om het terrein optimaal te benutten, werden voor de hallen van 2018 en 2022 dezelfde afmetingen gebruikt. De hal van 2020 heeft een kleinere oppervlakte, maar de breedte harmoniseert precies met de andere hallen in de omgeving. 

MAN Energy Solutions heeft met de lichtbouwhallen van Herchenbach zijn opslagruimte continu uitgebreid. De systeembouwhallen worden in korte tijd gepland en snel opgebouwd. Tegelijkertijd kunnen ze in het modulaire systeem individueel worden aangepast aan het terrein en de opslagvereisten. Ook na de sleuteloverdracht staat de Herchenbach klantenservice ter beschikking voor inspecties, maar ook voor halverbouwingen of de verplaatsing van een hal naar een andere locatie. Worden de hallen niet meer benodigd, dan kunnen ze op een andere locatie opnieuw worden opgebouwd of gerecycled.

The design of new machine types occasionally generates foundry patterns – these require secure storage not only due to their size but also their quantity.

For years, MAN Energy Solutions Oberhausen has therefore partnered with Herchenbach Industrial Buildings, utilizing their industrial tents, specifically optimized for the B2B sector, as storage space. Herchenbach halls can be used for decades: The first lightweight halls were built for MAN Turbo AG, the predecessor of MAN Energy Solutions. In the last five years alone, seven new hall projects have been added to the Oberhausen site: six large halls (three of which are twin bays) with a total storage area of ​​4,500 m², as well as one smaller hall.

Requirements for lightweight warehouses:

Weather and theft protection: The engineering department's models must be stored protected from rain and other weather conditions. Wall cladding made of trapezoidal sheet metal is a robust and cost-effective solution in this case; it is simply inserted into the hall profiles.

Condensation protection: The roofing of the lightweight halls consists of high-quality industrial PVC, which can be supplemented with an inner membrane upon request. The mesh fabric allows moisture to diffuse outwards only. The models inside the hall are protected from condensation.

Individuality from a modular system: Herchenbach's industrial tents are erected using a modular system. This shortens planning and delivery times. Thanks to the various modules of the modular system, the halls can be optimally adapted to individual storage needs. While MAN Energy Solutions varied the lengths of previous halls by selecting different truss spacings to make optimal use of the site, the same dimensions were used for the 2018 and 2022 halls. The 2020 hall has a smaller footprint, but its width harmonizes perfectly with the other halls in the vicinity.

MAN Energy Solutions has continuously expanded its storage capacity with lightweight halls from Herchenbach. These modular halls can be planned and erected quickly. At the same time, their modular design allows them to be individually adapted to the site and storage requirements. Even after handover, Herchenbach customer service is available for inspections, as well as for hall modifications or relocation. If the halls are no longer needed, they can be re-erected at a different location or recycled.
