EMP Rotomoulage: Two warehouses
Flexible solution implemented quickly
Quickly increase warehouse space for companies on a growth trajectory
Herchenbach built two Safe+ cold storage units for EMP Rotomoulage. The plastics and metal processor manufactures high-quality products using rotational molding. Demand is high.
EMP Rotomoulage offers the entire value chain for customized products. To better meet the needs of its steadily growing customer base, owner William Digne adapted his production lines and invested in a heavy-duty rotomoulage machine.
To install the equipment at the Dol-de-Bretagne headquarters, alternative storage solutions had to be implemented quickly and flexibly for the existing material and goods warehouse. William Digne found a company in Herchenbach that responded immediately and submitted a proposal that perfectly met EMP Rotomoulage's needs.
For EMP, finding a fast and cost-effective warehousing solution was extremely important. Our financial flexibility and short response times were key to these two buildings.
The solution: Adapted for the location
Smooth workflow thanks to precise knowledge of the processes
Through close collaboration between company owner William Digne and Herchenbach sales representative Vincent Paradis, an optimal and cost-effective warehouse solution was developed. Instead of one large lightweight building, two smaller ones were constructed. One is used for storing raw materials, the other for storing goods. Optimally positioned on the company premises, they offer ideal conditions for a smooth workflow.
- The first hall offers 412 m² of storage space with a width of 7.5 m, a length of 55 m, and a height of 3.4 m.
- The second hall provides 525 m² of space with a width of 15 m, a length of 35 m, and a height of 3.4 m.
- In both cases, a 5 m spacing between the aluminum profiles was chosen.
EMP's headquarters are just a few minutes' drive from the sea. The structural design of the Herchenbach modular building system is adapted to the prevailing wind and snow loads, making assembly simple and cost-effective even near the coast.
The building was anchored with ground anchors. Because aluminum buildings are significantly lighter than steel buildings while maintaining high stability, construction without a foundation is often possible. This saves approximately four weeks of construction time. Existing ground was also utilized for the EMP building.
Herchenbach offers its warehouses not only for sale but also for rent. For companies, this means they can use the lightweight structures immediately without a large upfront investment and only pay for as long as they actually need the additional storage space.
However, it wasn't just the product that impressed EMP Rotomoulage. William Digne particularly emphasized the planning and construction process: A personal contact from Herchenbach guides the company through all phases of the lightweight warehouse construction. With the "full-service package," services such as assistance with the building permit application can be easily added. This makes warehouse construction not only fast but also simple.
