Depending on service lifetime, fire station buildings must meet specific requirements. If the buildings are built to be permanent and to house fire brigade vehicles, special roller shutter doors with extremely quick response times must be installed, so that the emergency vehicles can leave the building without being obstructed in an emergency. Special mechanisms that ensure the doors function perfectly even in the event of a power failure and do not need to be opened manually are also required. The fire station building must also include power devices that ensure the vehicle engines are always able to run. In addition, the temperature in the fire station building should not be lower than 3°C so that the extinguishing water in the fire engines does not freeze. Insulation and heating are thus required.
Herchenbach offers modular temporary fire station buildings that can be optimally adapted to these requirements.
Our range offers suitable product solutions for the problems and challenges that this intended purpose brings. The building’s interior fittings are customised to meet the requirements for the specified door opening speeds. Our insulated warehouses are particularly energy-efficient to heat, ensuring that the temperature inside the warehouses does not fall below freezing.
Vehicle depots for fire brigades
Our buildings are certified for permanent use in accordance with DIN EN 1991 but of course also offer a good solution for temporary requirements. When renovating fire stations, for example, we can assemble a building for use as a temporary fire engine shed or a semi-permanent vehicle depot. We will also help you to implement the necessary accident prevention regulations and national health and safety regulations.
