Two halls precisely coordinated within a tight schedule

Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH is one of the world's leading manufacturers of mobile cranes. The company is growing, and with it, the need for readily available storage space is constantly increasing. Liebherr is a key account for Herchenbach: The crane manufacturer has already collaborated with the industrial tent builder on several hall projects in the past. Two new projects were added in 2021. These were the requirements:

The two new lightweight halls offer quick weather protection for the easy storage of components for crane superstructures.
Within a tight timeframe, the construction of the two halls had to be precisely coordinated: First, the first hall had to be built to store material that had previously been lying on the site where the second hall was to be built.
Because the space is very limited due to existing buildings, the lifting vehicles required for assembly cannot access the site freely from all sides. Therefore, part of the hall construction will be carried out using internal assembly methods. Additionally, the slope of the terrain must be leveled.

The first hall has a clear span of 20 m and a length of 70 m, with a height of 6.4 m. The 1400 m² of storage space was completed in less than two weeks. The second hall measures 15 m x 90 m and has an area of approximately 1350 m².

Two unheated warehouses were constructed using sturdy aluminum profiles. The walls are made of robust trapezoidal sheet metal, and the roof is constructed of high-quality industrial PVC.
With a clear span of 20 m and a length of 70 m, one warehouse provides Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH with 1,400 m² of storage space. The second warehouse is 15 m long and 90 m wide, offering approximately 1,350 m² of storage space.
Due to limited access, part of the warehouse structure had to be assembled using internal prefabrication.

With a frame made of durable aluminum profiles and a textile roof of high-quality industrial PVC, the cold storage building is the ideal storage solution for temperature-insensitive goods.
The Herchenbach modular system allows for unsupported widths of up to 40 m. The building length is flexibly configured to meet customer requirements.

Trapezoidal sheets as a wall cladding for temporary buildings

Trapezoidal sheet metal wall cladding is durable and cost-effective. It is offered in white aluminum as standard, but can be supplied in various RAL colors upon request.
Trapezoidal sheet metal is not only low-maintenance, but individual panels can also be easily replaced if damaged.

Roller doors can be installed in both the gable wall and the side wall of the building. They can be optimally integrated into the operational workflow.
Because the roller curtain rolls up very compactly, it does not take up any potential storage space.
Herchenbach offers the roller door with electric operation as standard. A radio remote control or radar motion detectors are also available as options.

Lightweight aluminum buildings are an ideal solution when more storage space needs to be created quickly and easily. Because aluminum buildings are lighter than steel buildings, a foundation is often unnecessary. Furthermore, the buildings can be flexibly adapted to changing storage requirements. They can be easily dismantled or expanded using the Herchenbach modular system.

In addition to the product itself, a second aspect played a role for Liebherr-Werke Ehingen GmbH. Personalized service and optimized, digitized processes are what make Herchenbach stand out.
