Industrial tents, storage tents or aluminium frame marquees
If a company experiences a warehousing bottleneck, fast action is required. Economic fluctuations and rapidly increasing demand due to growing online trade are forcing both large corporations and medium-sized companies to be more flexible when it comes to storage and production space. Solutions that are available at short notice and can be adapted to the respective requirements are in demand. The disadvantage of steel buildings is that assembly is time-consuming and costly. Industrial tents on the other hand, combine cost-effectiveness with flexibility.
Storage tents for permanent use
The term aluminium frame marquee or storage tent does not mean that the buildings are a classic tent intended only for short periods of use. Industrial tents from Herchenbach are designed for permanent use, eligible for planning permission and firmly anchored in the ground. The roofing is made of a highly tear-resistant industrial tarpaulin, which is in no way inferior to roofing made of trapezoidal sheets or similar.
- The roof tarpaulin of the aluminium frame marquee is made of PVC. The material costs are lower than for a traditional hard roofing. In addition, assembly is quick, creating a cost saving here also.
- If you want to store moisture-sensitive goods, we equip the roof tarpaulin of the aluminium frame marquee with a special inner tarpaulin, which protects against condensation. The tarpaulin allows condensation to diffuse in one direction only and then drains it outside via the rain gutter.
- For heated industrial tents, we recommend our insulated roof tarpaulin. This is fitted with an additional polyester fleece as an insulating material and reduces the energy required to heat the storage tent, which also results in cost savings.
- If the prescribed distances to existing buildings cannot be maintained, hard roofing is required. This does not mean physically hard roofing, but refers to a roof construction that is resistant to flying sparks and heat. For this purpose, we fit our PVC tarpaulin with a special polyester fleece so that our industrial tents meet the requirements of hard roofing.
Industrial tents FAQ
You can rent or buy our industrial tents as required. With the rental option, you do not need a high investment budget and can also protect your liquidity. A tent can be rented for a minimum of six months. Our sales department will contact you personally to draw up an individual rental contract. At the end of the rental period, you can buy the aluminium frame marquee or – if you no longer need it – simply dismantle it.
Planning permission is required for storage tents that will be used for more than three or six months. Herchenbach industrial tents are designed for permanent use and are thus eligible for planning permission. As a full-service provider, we help you obtain planning permission.
The cost of an industrial tent depends greatly on its size and the features. We offer aluminium frame marquees from £68 per m² for purchase and £1 per m² for monthly rental. Our non-insulated warehouse Safe+ costs £77 per m² for purchase and £1.30 per m² for monthly rental. Our insulated warehouse Therm+ costs £100 per m² for purchase and £1,80 per m² for monthly rental. We build storage tents with widths of up to 40 m. Anything wider is implemented in a multi-aisle design. Our eave heights go up to 6.4 m. The length can be selected as required, depending on the distance between the trusses. Depending on the statics, we offer truss spacings of 4 m or 5 m.
